CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS

Bath International Schools’ Model United Nations conference at Kingswood School.

This prestigious event will gather students from around the world, ages 14 to 18, to engage in dynamic debates on critical global issues. Representing various UN member states, participants will tackle pressing topics such as climate change, international security, and human rights, honing their skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and policy-making.

Over one weekend, delegates will participate in committee sessions, engage in lobbying activities, and respond to realistic emergency scenarios, all designed to deepen their understanding of global affairs. The conference offers a unique opportunity for young people to develop key skills and form international friendships, preparing them for future roles in leadership. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a transformative educational experience at one of the UK’s top MUN conferences.

More about BISMUN

Attendees of the BISMUN conference will embark on an enriching journey that begins one week before the event. Upon arrival in the United Kingdom, students will be hosted in the boarding facilities of Prior Park College, a prestigious independent school in Bath. During this immersive week, they will attend lessons alongside local students, encouraging meaningful cultural exchange, collaboration, and personal growth in a truly British academic environment.

In addition to participating in regular classes, students will take part in workshops specially designed to prepare them for the conference, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for the debates and negotiations to come. They will also enjoy shared activities with other international delegations, and explore some of Bath’s most historic and cultural landmarks.

The BISMUN conference will run from Friday to Sunday, after which participants will travel to Oxford and Bristol for guided visits, offering further insight into the academic and cultural heritage of these iconic British cities. This programme offers a well-rounded blend of academic challenge, cultural immersion, and international engagement.
