Through education, School Channel builds the bridges that turn these ideals into action—connecting young people across borders, nurturing global awareness, and equipping them with the skills and confidence to create positive change in their communities and beyond.

We create collaborative learning opportunities at an advanced level. Our learning focus on SDG 4.7 and Peace Education at the heart of everything we do connects our programmes to global priorities.

Our Team

Brian McGee - Director

Brian brings over 35 years of experience in the UK education landscape, serving in various roles including being a teacher, curriculum manager, and vice principal. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in nurturing international alliances, like the Bath-Suzhou partnership, promoting Positive Peace Education, and facilitating funding for student travel programs. Brian works closely with esteemed academic institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge universities , as well as charitable organization Edukid, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to global outreach and the development of youth.

Ivan Conde - Programmes Director

Ivan has worked in education for 13 years, as a teacher and in management positions in schools in Peru, teaching English, Psychology and Research Methodology, worked closely with the Cambridge Assessment International Education and Cambridge English Curriculum. Lately connecting schools from Peru with Schools in the United Kingdom helping students broaden up their acadmic expectations and reach their goals.

Carmen Soto - Programmes Coordinator

Carmen holds a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in English, as well as a Master's degree in Educational Management. With over 15 years of professional experience, she has taught English and a range of international courses, including Global Perspectives and Religious Studies. Her expertise encompasses educational management, teacher training, and curriculum development aligned with the Cambridge International Programme. Carmen currently serves as the Head of the English Department and International Relations at a prominent school in Lima and is a faculty member in the Faculty of Education at a leading university in Peru.

Joe McGee - Programmes Coordinator

Having gained a choral scholarship to Wells Cathedral School at the age of 9 and graduated with First Class Honours from Goldsmiths University, London, Joe is an expert on UK Education from the inside. Since graduating, Joe has lived extensively throughout East Asia, as well as spending several years living and working in London. Now learning Chinese as a Huayu Enrichment Scholar at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Joe is heading up our East Asia team, to offer our bespoke programmes to young people across the region.

Yesid Paez - Higher Education Consultant

Yesid has been an educator for over 20 years, specializing as a language teacher and lecturer in the UK. His areas of expertise include education, international development, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Yesid completed his master's degree in education under a Colombian scholarship. Later, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue his doctoral studies in the UK. His research interests focus on education, with a particular emphasis on international development and peacebuilding education. Over the past eight years, Yesid has worked in UK higher education institutions, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Education.
